I completely believe that “networking” is the modern-day way to do business. Of course, it has it’s roots in club memberships, golf outings, and three-martini lunches — but in the blackberry/text message 24/7 age we live in, who has time to cultivate relationships the long way? Everyone wants instant results!
Circular networking is not for the faint of heart — it’s for people who really care about long-term relationships and the value of building a web of connections with you at the center. In the short-term, you may wonder if it’s really worth it, but when you get that great piece of business from someone six degrees from you, it’s worth it!

Hey –
I found your blog using WordPress’s tag surfer. Anyways, we both are interested in the marketing discipline and I wanted to invite you to an association I am starting.
It’s called the Society of Progressive Marketers. It’s for people who want to do big things in the marketing world. I figured that since you and I are both Seth Godin groupies, we probably have a lot in common.
Membership is an will always be free. You can come and go as you please.
Right now, I have a Facebook group for getting people together. When we get enough people to join, I’ll start doing some web-page building.
Here’s the link: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=23078064248
Hope you can join us!
Thanks-
Brian
