I couldn’t agree more with Adrian! After learning to network properly, I really saw how wrong I did it in the beginning. All of the points Adrian addresses are vital to be successful. Anyone who feels they can just walk in and not put any effort into it is only being delusional. Networking is about building good, solid relationships with others so that they feel confident in referring you, using you and you stay on their radar. Thumbs up to you Adrian for another insightful article!

Good post Adrian. A lot of the same rules that apply to face to face business networking also apply to online business networking on sites such as LinkedIn. If you’re someone who says that this linkedin or business networking online thing isn’t working, read adrians post and see if you really are putting in the effort that it takes to get results.

Which covers some of the do and dont’s – “Networking 101” – There is so much to be said about the Power of Networking – and if it’s not done right it ends up being a waste of time.

Adrian, it never ceases to amaze me when people don’t understand what networking really is, and what’s required to make it work. I always think of networking as the volunteer work that I do – namely, trying to make great connections for my networking friends. Nothing more and nothing less than that! If you take yourself completely out of the equation, you’ll enjoy it more and the results will be sure to come!
