Nah…I Don’t Need to Return That Call
December 9, 2007 at 4:23 pm | Posted in sales, small business | 1 CommentI’ve called you twice. Emailed you as well.
You didn’t reply to either touch.
The purpose of my contact was to introduce you to the business owner that told me they were looking for a new _______________.
Does that sound like you? How selective are you in replying to calls and emails? Do you think that you might be screening/ignoring a potential lead?
How FAST do you reply to emails and calls? Do you know what/who you might be ignoring?
(And yes, I was that person trying to contact you with a lead. But you didn’t reply.)

Hi Adrian. Your blog is great. About not returning calls – how in the world can anyone be expected to return every vendor that calls them? Maybe I am not totally understanding you. If I returned vendor calls and emails, that’s all I would do all day long. I understand that they think they are the only one to call me that day and ask for a meeting. Plus, most of them are calling me simply because they were too lazy or incapable of discovering who the correct person is to talk with. I have people calling me to discuss the phone bill and the coffee service – I am in new business. also, it’s not my job to help you figure out that you should be talking to an office manager or accounting. I know this is a bit of a rant, but what are friends for:)
